Marula Café (Escudellers, 49) is a dance nightclub based both in Barcelona and Madrid. A special dance place for Old School Yurbbaners. They combine in their program both dj sessions and live concerts. If you love funky, soul, bogaloo or garage, it will be definitely your place. Get some comfy shoes and let’s go Maruling, that’s how the Marula nightclub fans call their dance sessions.

Artte ( Muntaner 83c) Every Thursday, music collector and vinyl lover, Pablo Skaf, exquisitely plays soul and funk music. Let the sound of the music take you: they have Klipsch speakers from the seventies that will make you really feel what’s worth. You will definitely hear about Skaf, he is one of the best analogic dj’s.

The Boiler Club (pending confirmation) is a super-secret club. They meet every two or three months. The music is absolutely amazing, and the flyers design is sublime. You wanna know why? Founder and organizer Jordi Duró is an important graphic designer in the city. You can follow them on Facebook, although it is not really updated, or subscribe in their newsletter. Jamboree (Plaça Reial 17) is not a secret place. It is an active dance nightclub since 1960. One of the jazz landmarks nightclubs in the city, so if you like good Jazz, that’s your place. Chet Baker, Dexter Gordon or Bill Coleman’s lovers, you have to come!

Manchester (C/de Milans, 5) If you kbnow what shoegazing is, you love ‘Screamadelica’ and you believe JOY DIVISION to be the best group ever. Don’t panic! Manchester is your place.
